Our Story

Flecha was founded by passionate educators who witnessed student after student failing to thrive in a traditional class environment. Educators have access to an unprecedented quantity and quality of online content, yet students are often underperforming. We have seen the increasing pressure around exams and grades causing many students to lose not only interest in academics, but also confidence and self-esteem.

Educators should be empowering kids, but large class sizes and inflexible curriculums that “teach to the test” can make that difficult. Traditional classrooms are not always fostering independent and critical thinking. Are we encouraging kids to ask questions and feed their curiosity and creativity?

We believe that is exactly where traditional classrooms are failing. And why smart kids aren’t motivated to learn and are not reaching their full potential.

We created Flecha to put students at the center of their own unique learning journey, not academic bureaucracy.

Our Approach

We fundamentally believe that understanding what motivates each individual learner is critical if we want to make a difference in a student’s life. Mentorship and teaching is not about making every student succeed at every requirement in a pre-set curriculum. It is about helping each student find their strengths, interests, and passions to create the best version of themselves. It’s about channeling those strengths, interests, and passions into educational activities where they will be motivated to excel. And ensuring that they develop the fundamental and relevant skills to pursue a successful and realistic career path.
